no offcial forum = fail
i will not buy gw2 if they dont have an official forum.

the information they got from guru has been misleading of what the userbase really wants and listening to the vocal whining minority has only ruined the game .(imbalanced pve skills, consumables, etc)

based on guru threads it seems the game is all bout ectos and pve farming when gw was really born as a pvp game. (here we are in general forum and theres 3 threads about ectos)
here pve farming matters stay in general forum(although there is a farming subsection) ....while pvp issues are quicly moved to deserted pvp subforums.

The Hellgate London devs do this, and it's frighteningly boring. A few excerpts:

Our Monday HGL Operations meetings had its usual hour of updates. During lunch a few of us drafted some Magic cards for tonight's tourney. After lunch, I sat through another meeting - a pretty boring one. Afterwards, it looked like one our builds is clean enough for Test Center - I checked with QA one last time and made sure that our Patch Notes were being updated. Then, I fired off the request to have the build deployed - which is always exciting.
We'll see how this new build turns out in Test Center. It has about 300 individual changes from the last build. Yeah, there will probably be issues, but we have moved the peg forward a few holes.

Today is going to be just as busy as yesterday, I believe (if not busier). The Test Center door has been open for all of two hours and already we're seeing feedback and screenshots flood in to the forums. Brave testers are venturing into the unknown that is the Abyss and returning elated and reporting bugs they find. The feedback is great to see, even if it's "OMG THAT FIEND TANK STOMPED ME IN THE FACE AND ONE-SHOTTED ME OW THE PAIN THE PAIN".

Lunch today will be some delicious leftovers from Cheesecake Factory. Cajun Chicken Littles: food of the gods. Snacks will be little Japanese heart-shaped fruit gummy things and some stale Starburst candies.

-Reviewed some of the material, can't wait for it to hit the library.

There's such a thing as too much info coming from the devs.

Thing is the point of the wiki is to contain a lot of information, with minimum discussion to avoid the need for serious moderation. There's no need to go beyond information, because anything beyond the basic needs will just require more attention and manpower on Anet's behalf, and they simply don't have the resources for that.
